Vedat Rohan Talaş, a second-year student in our Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Yaman Ali Arı, a third-year student in our department, have achieved a significant accomplishment as part of the team with which they participated in the Idea4Defence Competition, together with students from different departments of Bilkent University’s Faculty of Engineering.
The team also included Seçkin Kızılkaya, a Preparatory School student in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Burkay Tunçtürk, a third-year student in the Department of Computer Engineering.
As a result of the competition, the team earned a cash prize of 50,000 TL and became eligible for preliminary acceptance into the TUSAŞ Hangar BİGG Program.
The achievement obtained in this prestigious organization held in the fields of defense industry and high technology is a concrete indicator of our students’ technical competence, engineering design ability, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
