About the Laboratory
The Numerical Analysis and High-Level Applications (NAHA) Laboratory focuses on computational modeling grounded in solid mathematical foundations, which serves as our most effective tool for addressing the complex engineering challenges we face today. Our research group constructs mathematical models that describe system behavior, translates these models into computational formats, and develops specialized techniques to solve them. Consequently, leveraging these insights, we tailor the microstructures of materials to optimize their behavior for specific requirements. Therefore, our research is built upon three core pillars: to explain, explore, and exploit the behavior of soft materials and metamaterials undergoing large deformations.
