Kaan Bitirim

Biography

Kaan Bitirim received his B.S. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bilkent University, his M.S. degree from the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, his M.A. degree from the Department of Economics at Hacettepe University, and his LL.M. degree from the Economics and Energy Law Program at Hacettepe University.

Before joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bilkent University, he served as the Integrated Management System Unit Manager and Energy Manager at the Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory, which hosts Türkiye’s first and only superconducting electron accelerator.

His areas of interest include management systems, strategic planning, process development and management, energy and energy supply security, internal auditing, sustainability, economics and energy law, radiation and radiation safety, occupational safety, and environmental management.
